WACO, Texas - Baylor soccer (5-1-1) takes on the SMU Mustangs (3-1-2) on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 8:30 p.m. at Westcott Field.
Baylor last played a week ago in Portland, getting a rare Friday off from competition this week leading into Sunday's contest.

* Baylor is fresh after an extended break from competition, enjoying a weekend off from competition after going 1-1 in the Nike Portland Invitational. The Bears took a 1-0 win over Portland before falling 0-1 to Washington.
* The Bears and Mustangs are one of the oldest nonconference rivalries for the Bears, with SMU leading the all-time series, 7-3-0. BU has held the recent edge, winning both of the previous two meetings betwen the squads.
*The Sunday match is the final nonconference tuneup for the Bears before kicking off Big 12 play on Friday, Sept. 22, versus West Virginia.
* Baylor ranks eighth in the country and first in the Big 12 in goals-against-average, with a 0.273 mark.
* True freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Wandt ranks ninth in the country and tops the Big 12 in goals-against
* Baylor has had 10 or more wins in ten of its 21 seasons as a program and has done so in five of the last seven years under Marci and then Paul Jobson, who enters his third season as head coach, 10th at Baylor overall.
