GLENVILLE, W. Va. ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" The top-ranked and defending national champion Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team (2-1) bounced back to take down Glenville State, 284.490-248.640, on Tuesday night at the Waco Center.
The Bears won every event, starting with a 37.65-32.35 win in the compulsory heats. BU took the acro heats 28.95-25.65 and pyramid heats 29.05-26.80 for a 95.650-84.800 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Baylor took the toss heats 28.80-25.35, tumbling heats 57.625-50.775 and team event 102.41-87.71.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Baylor is now 23-1 under head coach Felicia Mulkey.
- Kiara Nowlin notched a perfect 10.0 in the tumbling aerial pass.
- The team of Kiara Nowlin, Shayla Moore, Miranda Girouard, Allie Alaman and Lauren Sturm posted a 9.90 in compulsory toss heat.
