AUSTIN, Texas - Baylor's track and field team had five multi-event athletes begin competition at the 90th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, presented by Spectrum Wednesday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Through half of the decathlon events, freshman Luke Littlefield leads a trio of Bears with 3,754 points to sit ninth among 19 competitors in the field. Meanwhile, Chase Hood (2,962 pts.) and Hunter Powell (2,930 pts.) are 17th and 18th overall.
BU's two athletes in the heptathlon competition, Jenna Pfeiffer (3,256 pts.) and Carly Grandcolas (2,910 pts.), are 14th and 22nd, respectively, through four of seven events.
WHAT'S NEXT
On Thursday, Baylor's athletes will return to competition at the Texas Relays. The multi-events resume at 10 a.m. (decathlon) and 11 a.m. (heptathlon), followed by the men's pole vault at 2:30 p.m. and the 400-meter hurdles at 4:30 p.m.
