Baylor Game Notes 
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Baylor soccer (10-5-2, 4-4-1 Big 12) will look to continue building its resume for NCAA postseason play, kicking off its run at the 2017 Big 12 Soccer Championship facing the No. 4 seed Texas (13-2-2, 5-2-2 Big 12) on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. at Swope Soccer Village.
The No. 5-seeded Bears will look to avenge a 1-0 overtime loss to the Longhorns on Oct. 20, the first of the team's two overtime losses to close out the regular season.
Texas leads the all-time series between the squads, 12-8-4, but Baylor holds a 2-0 advantage in meetings at the Big 12 tournament, with the teams last facing each other on Nov. 3, 1999, a 2-0 win for the Bears in San Antonio.
Wednesday's match will feature a free, online video stream on Big12Sports.com, with commentary by FOX Sports and Big 12 Digital Network analyst Lincoln Rose.

* Baylor opens its run at the Big 12 Soccer Championship on Wed., Nov. 1, at 2 pm at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo. BU is 10-11-3 all-time in the conference's postseason tournament, including 1-2-1 under Jobson.
* Baylor has lost just five matches in 2017, all coming against top-60 RPI teams, three versus top-20 opponents in the Coaches Poll, and two to top-10 competition.
* Baylor ranks 13th in the country and first in the Big 12 in goals-against-average, with a 0.502 mark.
* Baylor's .588 shutout percentage ranks 22nd in the country and second in the Big 12.

* Baylor swept all three Big 12 weekly honors (Oct. 17) for the first time in program history with Precious Akanyirige earning Defensive Player of the Week, Aline De Lima named the Offensive Player of the Week, and Jennifer Wandt taking home the Freshman of the Week honors from the conference office.
* Junior midfielder Julie James was Baylor's lone representative on the 2017 Preseason All-Big 12 Team after being named 2016 All-Big 12 and NSCAA All-Region.
* From July 23-26, a group of current and former Baylor soccer student-athletes served on a mission trip to Guatemala alongside Baylor FCA. The mission team served the children of Guatemala City and shared the love of Christ through the game of soccer.
