STORY LINES
- The Bears wrap up a two-game homestand with in-state rival Texas visiting McLane Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 am. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
- Sophomore kicker Connor Martin leads the Big 12 with 14 made field goals and ranks second in accuracy (87.5%). He has converted 12-of-14 attempts over the last four games.
- Baylor has had 17 true freshmen appear in a game in 2017, the fourth-largest total nationally.
- The Bears' 23 first-time starters in 2017, including 10 true freshmen, are the second most in FBS.
- The game is the second meeting between Baylor head coach Matt Rhule and Texas head coach Tom Herman. The duo faced off in the 2015 AAC Championship game with Houston earning a 24-13 win over Temple.
