WACO, Texas - No. 7 Baylor equestrian (1-1, 0-1 Big 12) will face No. 5 SMU (1-0) on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Dallas Equestrian Center in Dallas, TX.
This will be the second time the Bears and Mustangs have faced off this season, following a preseason exhibition on Sept. 15, where BU fell short, 12-8.
The Bears are coming off a tough Big 12 conference-opening loss to No. 4 Oklahoma State last Saturday in Stillwater, Okla., earning a lone point in each of the four events and a single MOP in the 14-4 loss.
The Mustangs of SMU opened the 2017-18 season with an 11-6 win over No. 6 TCU (0-1) on Sept. 29-the first competition for SMU since its exhibition against Baylor.
Following Saturday's competition, the Bears will travel to Auburn, Ala., on Oct. 21st to face Auburn in the Tigers' 2017-18 season opener, following UA's three exhibition meets against Tennessee, Alabama, and Ole Miss.
