MBB Releases 2016-17 Big 12 Schedule

2016-17 Baylor Basketball Schedule Get Acrobat Reader

WACO, Texas ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Baylor basketball released the Big 12 Conference portion of its schedule on Thursday afternoon. All of Baylor's Big 12 games will be televised on ESPN networks, with the exception of one CBS Saturday afternoon game.

Conference play begins before the New Year for the first time in the league's 21-year history. Baylor opens on the road at Oklahoma on Dec. 30 (ESPN2). The Bears then return to Waco for back-to-back home games against Iowa State on Jan. 4 (ESPNEWS) and Oklahoma State on Jan. 7 (ESPNEWS).

Three of BU's next four games are on the road, with trips to West Virginia on Jan. 10 (ESPN2), Kansas State on Jan. 14 (ESPNU) and TCU on Jan. 21 (ESPNU). The Bears host Texas on Jan. 17 (ESPN2) and Texas Tech on Jan. 25 (ESPNEWS).

The fourth-annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge begins another stretch with three of four on the road, as the Bears travel to Ole Miss on Jan. 28 (ESPN), to Kansas on Feb. 1 (ESPN2) and to Oklahoma State on Feb. 8 (ESPNU). That string of games includes one home contest against Kansas State on Feb. 4 (ESPNEWS).

Four of Baylor's next six games are at the Ferrell Center, with TCU visiting on Feb. 11 (ESPNU), Kansas on Feb. 18 (CBS), Oklahoma on Feb. 21 (ESPN2) and West Virginia on Feb. 27 (ESPNU). BU's road games in that span are at Texas Tech on Feb. 13 (ESPNU) and at Iowa State on Feb. 25 (ESPN/2).

Baylor closes its 31-game regular season schedule with a trip down I-35 to face Texas in Austin on March 4 (ESPN/2). The Bears will then head to Kansas City for the 2017 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at Sprint Center.

Baylor opens the season with three straight home games against Oral Roberts (Nov. 11), Oregon (Nov. 15) and Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 18). The Bears also host a marquee non-conference matchup against Xavier on Dec. 3, giving BU a pair of non-conference home games against preseason top-10 teams in Oregon and Xavier.

All Baylor games will be televised for a fifth consecutive season, but tipoff times and networks designations for most non-conference games will be announced at the later date.
