NCATA Announces National Championship Field

The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced the eight-team field for the 2016 NCATA national championships that will be hosted by Baylor University from April 16-19 at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas. Top-seeded, top-ranked and defending national champion Baylor (7-0) will take on eighth-seeded Gannon on Sunday, April 17 at 7 p.m.
Championship action will get under way on Saturday, April 16, as the Individual Event Finals (see qualifiers below) take the mat at 7:30 p.m.
The team portion of the NCATA Championships begins with quarterfinal competition at noon on Sunday, April 17, when third-seeded Quinnipiac takes on sixth-seeded Fairmont State. Second-seeded Oregon competes against seventh-seeded Alderson-Broaddus at 2 p.m. After the 5 p.m. Baylor/Gannon contest, fourth-seeded Hawaii Pacific and fifth-seeded Azusa Pacific meet at 7 p.m.
Monday's semifinal action will begin at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the second semifinal meet at 7 p.m. The two semifinal winners will play on Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m., to determine the 2016 NCATA National Champion.

Ticket Prices are as follows:
All-Session pass - $30 Daily Pass -- Adults - $10, Youth (ages 2-17) - $5, Group (20 or more) - $5 BU Students -- free with BU ID card
Individual event final berths were determined by inviting teams that registered the four highest scores recorded throughout the season, with additional berths awarded in the event of a tie.
