- Baylor started Johnathan Motley, Lester Medford, Taurean Prince, Ishmail Wainright and Al Freeman for the 4th time in 28 games this season ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" the group is 3-1 as a starting unit.
- Baylor has won 17 of its last 21 home games.

- Rico Gathers (7 points) passed Cory Jefferson (1,159 from 2009-14) take No. 19 on Baylor's all-time scoring list.
- Gathers became just the third player in Big 12 history to record 1,100+ career rebounds, joining Nick Collison (1,143 from 1999-03 at KU) and Damion James (1,318 from 2006-10 at UT).
- Gathers (135 games played) breaks the tie with LaceDarius Dunn (134 games from 2007-11) to take sole possession of 3rd on Baylor's career leader board for games played.
- Gathers made his first career three-point field goal on his first and only career attempt, giving BU a 36-33 lead going into halftime.
