No. 4 Baylor (8-3, 3-1 Big 12) vs. No. 5 Oklahoma State (5-2, 4-0 Big 12)

Waco, Texas | Willis Equestrian Center

WACO, Texas - No. 4 Baylor equestrian (8-3, 3-1 Big 12) will continue its second pass through conference play, taking on No. 5 Oklahoma State (5-2, 4-0 Big 12) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Willis Equestrian Center.

After picking up its first win of the spring season last weekend against TCU, head coach Ellen White is confident that the team has found its footing as the season winds to a close.

Still, challenges exist, as with any top-10 matchup.

"I thought that we did a nice job against TCU. I think that is exactly what we need to do against Oklahoma State," said White. "I think we have a winning formula and we are just going to stay with it, But, they are probably a little tougher to beat.

"We've got a few horses that are slightly injured, so we are using new horses. What little home field advantage may exist will be a little sticky this time, because we are not using our regular horses. The horses our riders practice on are not on the draw this time."

The Cowgirls were the only team able to beat the Bears in the fall, downing BU in Stillwater, 13-7. At the tail end of a three-meet road trip, the meet at OSU was many of the girls' first long trip away from their home barn and horses.

"I think between OSU and Baylor we are comparable teams, both with strong riders. I feel that the home advantage will certainly help us," said White. "We are a more mature team this time, because that was so early on in the fall when the girls had just started showing. We had just faced TCU and Kansas State on the road, and it was kind of a long weekend."

Saturday's meet will kick off at 1 p.m. and fans will be able to enjoy free pony rides, face painting, a bounce house, and a t-shirt toss for every point Baylor scores. As with all home meets at Willis, admission is free.
