WACO, Texas - The Baylor equestrian team (8-3, 3-1 Big 12) picked up a 13-6 win over the No. 6 TCU Horned Frogs (4-5, 0-4 Big 12) on Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.
TCU started off the meet with a 3-2 lead in fences before the two teams tied 2-2 in reining. For fences, Paige Parker's score of 83 won her the MOP honors. Ginger Chant brought home MOP honors in reining with a 65.5 score that defeated Hunter DeJane's score of 61.
The Bears came out strong in equitation on the flat, posting a 4-1 win to bring them to an 8-6 lead with only horsemanship to go. The MOP for flat was Jennifer Mitchell, who posted a meet-high score of 84.
Baylor closed out the victory with a 5-0 sweep of horsemanship, led by Kaylee Mellott who recorded a 75 and took MOP honors.
