IRVING, Texas ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Baylor soccer's Julie James, Lauren Piercy and Raegan Padgett garnered All-Big 12 honors, the league announced Monday. James was named to the All-Big 12 first team, Piercy second team and Padgett all-freshman team.

Voted on by the league's coaches, the Bears have 31 all-time All-Big 12 choices and eight under head coach Paul Jobson. BU has had five straight years with at least one all-league player and its two selections are the most since having three in 2012. Padgett's all-freshman nod marks the third straight year with at least one Baylor honoree, is the 12th all-time selection in program history and ninth under Jobson. Of Baylor's 12 all-time all-freshman choices, nine have come under Jobson.

James, a sophomore midfielder, was an all-freshman choice last year. Through 18 games, the Fairview, Texas native has two goals and a career-high five assists (seventh in Big 12) for a career-high-tying nine points.

Piercy, a sophomore forward, was Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Year, a second-team choice and all-freshman honoree last year. Through 18 games, the Amarillo, Texas native has career highs in goals (seven, fourth in Big 12), assists (two), points (16, fifth in Big 12) and game-winning goals (five, 15th in country and first in Big 12).

Padgett, a forward from Beaumont, Texas, has three goals and three assists for nine points through 18 games.

The No. 3 seeded Bears take on No. 6 seed Oklahoma State on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT in the first round of the 2016 Big 12 Soccer Championships in Kansas City at Swope Soccer Village.
