IRVING, Texas - Baylor soccer senior Bri Campos and freshman Sarah King were named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week, respectively, the league announced Tuesday. The two awards in the same week mark the first time Baylor has done so since Ashley York took the same two honors on Aug. 27, 2013.

Campos led the Bears to a Baylor Tournament title last weekend and was named MVP after tallying five points on two goals and one assist. In a 2-0 win over Northern Illinois last Friday, the midfielder recorded an assist before following with two scores against UTSA in an 8-0 win last Sunday, including the game-winner. The two-goal match was the second of her career. The Centennial, Colorado, native now ranks 10th in program history in goals scored (17), ninth in points (46) and tied for sixth in game-winners (7). The honor marks the first time she's earned Big 12 Player of the Week and second time she's received a weekly conference honor as she was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 9, 2012. She is the first Bear to win Big 12 Player of the Week since York in 2013.

King was named to the all-tournament team at the Baylor Tournament after finishing with five points on three assists and one goal. The midfielder from Coppell, Texas, had a header assist versus Northern Illinois before adding two assists and a goal in the victory over UTSA. She leads Baylor in points (10), goals (3), shots on goal (11) and assists (4) this season. She is the first Bear to win Big 12 Newcomer of the Week since Precious Akanyirige on Sept. 5, 2014.

Since the program started in 1996, BU has earned 10 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and seven Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors.

The Bears return to action with a road trip to Colorado this weekend to face Air Force Friday at 7 p.m. CT and Colorado College Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
