WACO, Texas -- Baylor soccer kicks off its 2015 season by hosting South Florida Friday at 7 p.m. CT and Michigan State Monday at 7 p.m. at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.

After winning a pair of home exhibition matches by a combined 5-1 score, the Bears are ready to start the regular season this weekend as they return 15 players from last year and add 16 newcomers. Both matches will feature a live audio stream on BaylorBears.com via Baylor All-Access, starting 10 minutes prior to kickoff. Each match will also have live stats via GameTracker on BaylorBears.com and Twitter updates on the @BaylorFutbol official account.

BAYLOR QUICK NOTES
* Baylor has had 10 or more wins in nine of its 19 seasons as a program and has done so in four of the last five years under Paul Jobson, who enters his first season as head coach, eighth at Baylor overall. BU has had at least eight wins in six straight seasons and has won at least one match at the Big 12 Championship seven times in 12 appearances, including three in a row.

* Baylor is 14-4-1 all-time in season openers and 16-1-2 all-time in home openers. Under the Jobsons, BU is 5-1-1 in season openers and 7-0-0 in home openers.

* In October fo 2014, the program received approval of a $3.3 million Williams Family Soccer and Olympic Sports Center and moved into the facility officially on Thursday, August 20, 2015.

* Senior forward Bri Campos was Baylor's lone representative on the 2015 Preseason All-Big 12 Team, marking her third straight season receiving the honor to tie a program record with Tamura Crawley (2000-02).

*Campos and freshman forward Jackie Crowther both spent a part of the 2015 summer training with the Mexico National and Mexico U-20 National Teams, respectively.

* Baylor was chosen eighth in the Big 12 preseason poll.

* BU returns 15 players from the 2014 roster and welcomes 16 newcomers for 2015. The Bears also return seven starters while losing four from 2014. Among the returnees are 2014 second-team All-Big 12 forward Campos.

* Baylor has already played two exhibition matches as the Bears won 1-0 in Waco on Aug. 10 vs. Samford and 4-1 on Aug. 15 in Waco vs. Abilene Christian.

*Baylor has 35 shutouts over the last three seasons (nine in 2014).

*Baylor is 20-2-1 when scoring first since 2013.

*Baylor had never beaten a higher seeded team in the Big 12 Championship until 2013, when No. 5 BU topped No. 4 Iowa State 1-0 in the first round. The lone goal, and first-ever goal at Swope Soccer Village, was scored by Ashley York. The Bears have done it two years in a row, adding their first-ever win over a No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Championship in 2014 by topping Oklahoma State as the No. 7 seed.

*Baylor led the league for the fourth straight year in Academic All-Big 12 selections with 13 (11 first team, 2 second team) in 2014.

*Baylor earned the NSCAA 2013-14 Team Academic Award with a 3.55 team cumulative GPA to garner the honor for the third time in the last four years.
