Aug. 14, 2015 WACO, Texas â '¬" Baylor soccer hosts Abilene Christian in an exhibition match Saturday at 6 p.m. CT at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field. The event is free to attend and marks the last of two exhibition home matches for the Bears during preseason camp.
In BU's first exhibition Monday the Bears came out on top with a 1-0 shutout of Samford. Junior newcomer Jody Lee played 90 scoreless minutes as goalkeeper and freshman Julie James headed in the lone goal in the 11th minute.
Baylor opens the season Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. vs. USF at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field. Along with 16 newcomers, the Bears return 15 players from the 2014 team that went 9-8-3 (2-5-1 Big 12) for its sixth straight season with eight or more wins under head coach Paul Jobson.
