Aug. 11, 2015 WACO, Texas - Five former Baylor football players will be honored as Baylor Football Legends during select 2015 home football games, Baylor officials announced Tuesday.
Each honoree will be introduced on the field during their respective game, while a short video details their playing career for the Bears.
The Baylor "B" Association, which chooses the legends, will open the season by recognizing three-year letterman Billy Glass Jr. (OL, 1977-79) at the Sept. 12 contest vs. Lamar.
Two four-year letter-winning linebackers will be honored; Kris Micheaux (1997-2000) at the Rice game on Sept. 26 and James Francis (1986-89) during the West Virginia contest on Oct. 17, respectively.
There will be no legend for the Oct. 24 Homecoming game against Iowa State. However, the 2015 Hall of Fame and Wall of Honor inductees, along with the 2015 Honor Team (2005 NCAA champion women's basketball team) will all be recognized on the field for their achievements.
To close out the year, Maurice Lane (SS, 2002-05) will be featured at the Oklahoma game on Nov. 14 and three-time All-American punter and two-time Ray Guy Award winner Daniel Sepulveda (2003-06) will be honored during the Dec. 5 contest against Texas.
