WACO, Texas - The Baylor track and field team will have four athletes in action at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, which run Thursday through Sunday in Eugene, Ore., at Hayward Field.

Men's sprinter Trayvon Bromell is slated to run the 100 and 200-meter dashes, while on the women's side Rachel Johnson (3,000-meter steeplechase), Tiffani McReynolds (100-meter hurdles) and Raena Rhone (400 meters) are all set to compete.

Bromell returns to the track by running in the first round of the 100-meter dash at 6 p.m. (8 p.m. CT) on Thursday. Bromell's qualifying time of 9.90, which is second-best entering the meet, came in the semifinals of the NCAA Championships. He concluded his collegiate season by placing second in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA outdoor meet in a wind-aided time of 9.88.

Bromell has added the 200-meter dash to his repertoire in 2015 as that gets under way at 12:05 p.m. (2:05 p.m. CT) Saturday. On June 12 at the NCAA Championships, Bromell set a PR in the event with a time of 19.86 to take third. Bromell's wind-legal qualifying time of 20.13 is fifth-best in the field and came at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships.

Last year, Bromell won the 100-meter title at the USA Junior Championships in a wind-legal 10.07.

Johnson returns to the event, after placing fifth in the steeplechase a year ago in 9:41.56. She begins her 2015 run at 7:05 p.m. (9:05 p.m. CT) Thursday. Johnson, who owns the 10th-fastest qualifying time at the event (9:41.56), placed sixth at the NCAA Championships two weeks ago in 9:42.93.

In the 100-meter hurdles, McReynolds will try to compete at 5:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. CT) on Friday. The senior Bear suffered a leg injury at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships and missed the rest of the collegiate season. She has the 11th-best qualifying time (12.77), but ran a non-wind legal 12.70 to win her second-straight Big 12 title in the event. A year ago at the USA Outdoor Championships, McReynolds was fifth in her heat in 12.81.

Rhone gets things started for the Baylor contingent in the 400-meters at 4:20 p.m. (6:20 p.m. CT) on Thursday. She has the 24th-best time in the field at 52.05, which she ran during the NCAA West Preliminary Championships. She concluded her collegiate career by turning in a 53.33 to be fifth in her heat at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Former Baylor greats Tiffany Townsend (200 meters), Marcus Boyd (400 meters), Jeremy Wariner (400 meters) and Lauren (Hagans) Paquette (1,500 meters) will also be in action at the event.

All of the events on the track, except the 3,000-meter steeplechase are slated to have three rounds. The top-three finishers in each event at this week's meet will automatically earn a spot on the 2015 IAAF World Championships team set for August 22-30 in Beijing, China.

Portions of the event will be streamed live on USATF.tv, while NBC Sports will broadcast Saturday and Sunday finals.
