THE RUNDOWN
FORT WORTH, Texas - Three members of Baylor's track and field team kicked off the outdoor season by taking part in the TCU Invitational discus competition Thursday at Lowdon Track and Field Complex.
The trio of Bears was led by sophomore Cion Hicks, who placed third with a throw of 164-5 [50.11m]. It was the third-best throw of her career.
Two other Bears, Selena Demus (119-1 [36.30m]) and Taylor Caswell (108-5 [33.04m]) got their first action of the year.
HIGHLIGHTS
? Hicks was just .3 meters off her personal best, which she set at the 2014 Florida Relays.
? Caswell surpassed her previous-best from 2014 by 14 feat (94-5 [28.78m].
WHAT'S NEXT
Baylor will be back in action at the TCU Invitational on Friday. The field events will begin at 9:30 a.m., while running events start up at 1 p.m. at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex.
