- Baylor moves to 2-3 all-time versus Arkansas State and 2-0 in Waco.

TEAM NOTES
- After starting out to a 5-5 tie in the opening two minutes, Baylor would go on a 17-5 run over the next 5:32 to get out to a 22-10 lead.
- Baylor had five players in double-figures (Prince 25, Freeman 19, Motley 13, Medford 11, Gathers 10). It is the fourth time in five games the Bears have accomplished the feat.

- Freeman tied a career-high with 5 assists for the second-consecutive game and the third time in his career.
- Johnathan Motley scored 13 points on 5-9 shooting, including a 3-3 mark from the free throw line, adding three blocks and two rebounds.
- Rico Gathers finished the game with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, earning his second double-double of the season and the 26th of his Baylor career.
- Gathers finished with 16 points for the 39th game of his career with double-figuring scoring.
- Ishmail Wainright made his fifth consecutive start, recording three points, four rebounds, and three assists.
