AZUSA, Calif. - THE RUNDOWN
Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling (3-5) saw its season end as top-ranked and three-time NCATA National Champion Oregon (11-1) downed the Bears 285.600 - 280.295 in Azusa, Calif., at the Felix Event Center, site of the NCATA National Championships, hosted by Azusa Pacific University.

Baylor eight-member senior class, Deonka Ceaser, Hailey Cowan, Katya Finta, Lynn Herbst, Tori Jackson, Ginger Plemmon, Kristie Serrano and Lori Williamson, led the team to three NCATA Semifinal berths in the program's four-year history.

"The team fought to the end and had their best meet. It's a great way to end the season," said head coach LaPrise Harris-Wiliams. "This group of seniors did an outstanding job of leading their team to a fantastic finish. I am so proud of our girls. This team has set the standard for Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling."

Baylor trailed at the half as Oregon outpaced the Bears 98.25. Oregon extended its lead posting a 188.345 to Baylor's 183.345.

HIGHLIGHTS
• For the third straight meet, freshman Kiara Nowlin impressed again with a perfect 10.00 in the 6 Element heat of the Tumbling Event.
• Baylor tied Oregon in four events; heat two of Acro (9.85); heat one of Toss (9.85), Tumbling's 6 element pass (10.0), and open pass (9.90).
• Baylor won heat 1 of the Toss Event 9.75-9.65 and tied Fairmont State in both heat 2 and heat 3 with 9.20 and 9.50.
• In the Open heat of the Tumbling Event, freshman Kaelyn Cowan scored a 9.90.
• In the Aerial Pass heat of the Tumbling Event, sophomore Courtney Pate tallied a 9.85.
