No. 6/6 Baylor Completes Non-Conference Slate vs. Prairie View A&M...
The sixth-ranked Baylor Lady Bears will close out their non-conference slate when they host Prairie View A&M, Monday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. (CT).
Baylor is 10-1 on the season and moved up three spots in both The AP Poll and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll after posting road victories over two ranked teams, No. 19 Syracuse and No. 18 Michigan State.
Head coach Kim Mulkey's Lady Bears are led by sophomore forward Nina Davis' 22.8 points and 8.5 rebounds a game. Sophomore post Khadijiah Cave follows with 12.8 points and 6.2 rebounds an outing while sophomore guard Imani Wright tallies 11.3 points per contest. Junior point guard Niya Johnson dished out 8.7 assists per game and has averaged 10.5 apg over the last six contests.
Under second-year head coach Dawn Brown, Prairie View A&M is 3-8 on the season. Senior guard Jeanette Jackson leads the Panthers in scoring at 17.7 ppg while junior center Shamiya Brooks is the squad's top rebounder at 7.7 per contest.
Celebrating 10 Years...
Baylor women's basketball will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its 2005 NCAA Championship at halftime on Saturday, January 3, when the Lady Bears take on Oklahoma State at 11 a.m. Most of the players and staff from the 2005 team will be returning for the celebration.
Regular Season Non-Conference Record...
The Lady Bears are 163-11 in regular-season, non-conference games under head coach Kim Mulkey. Baylor has lost only one regular-season, non-conference game at the Ferrell Center. That loss came on Nov. 11, 2006, vs. 12th-ranked Purdue in the finals of the Preseason WNIT. Nine of Baylor's 11 losses have come vs. ranked opponents as Montana State (75-66, Bozeman, Mont. Nov. 30, 2002) and Wisconsin (59-58, St. Thomas, V.I., Nov. 29, 2008) are the only two non-ranked teams to defeat the Lady Bears in a regular-season non-conference game.
Nina Davis Nets 3rd Straight Big 12 Player of the Week...
Nina Davis picked up her third-consecutive Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week recognition, she shared the honor with Texas forward Nneka Enemkpali. Davis led Baylor to victories over No. 19 Syracuse and No. 18 Michigan State to claim the championship trophy in the Florida Sunshine Classic. The sophomore forward averaged 20.5 points and 13.0 rebounds en route to earning tournament MVP honors. Against Syracuse, she scored 26 points and pulled down a career-high-tying 17 rebounds while dishing out two assists. Davis narrowly missed another double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds in the victory over Michigan State. She is averaging a team-high 22.8 points while hauling down a team-leading 8.5 rebounds on the season. Davis ranks No. 2 in the Big 12 in scoring and No. 3 in rebounding.

? Davis, a 5-11 forward, is leading the team in both scoring and rebounding with 22.8 points and 8.5 rebounds an outing.
? Davis scored a career-high 43 points at Ole Miss. In the last five games, Davis has averaged 26.5 points per game (31 vs. UTPA, 43 at Ole Miss, 21 vs. Idaho, 33 vs. SFA, 26 vs. #19 Syracuse, 15 vs. #18 Michigan State).
