KANSAS CITY - Baylor soccer earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2013-14 Team Academic Award, the organization announced Monday.

The Bears combined for a 3.55 team cumulative grade point average to garner the honor for the third time in the last four years (2011, 2012). Among NCAA women's teams, BU is one of 582 recognized. The Bears are one of six teams in the Big 12 to be honored as they led the league for the fourth straight year in total Academic All-Big 12 selections (13).

To qualify for the award that started in 1996, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
