WACO, Texas (AP)- Odyssey Sims scored 28 points and No. 7 Baylor led throughout its 80-46 victory over TCU on Saturday night that extended the Lady Bears' national-best home-court winning streak to 69 games.
After being recognized during pregame for breaking the school's career record for 3-pointers in the previous game, national scoring leader Sims made six more shots from long-range. She had two from beyond the arc when the Lady Bears (14-1, 4-0 Big 12) scored the game's first 14 points in just over 3 minutes.
Sune Agbuke had 15 points for Baylor while freshman Nina Davis had 11 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Imani Wright also had 11 points.
With a quick turnaround to the UConn game, Sims played only 30 minutes. She was 11-of-16 shooting, including 6-of-10 on 3-pointers for the second game in a row. She had a career-high 48 points Wednesday night at West Virginia, when she took over the record for 3-pointers.
Medley had 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting and was the only TCU player scoring in double figures.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Baylor began the game on a 14-0 run.
• Baylor's 10 3-pointers (10-22) were the most this season, and the most since Feb. 27, 2011 at Oklahoma (13-27).
• Odyssey Sims now has 16 straight games with at least 20 points dating back to last year's NCAA Tournament game with Louisville; it marks the 33rd time in her career she's passed the 20-point mark in a game.
• Sims, with six treys tonight, extended her all-time career total, a school record, to 207.
• Sune Abuke's 15 points marked the fourth time this season she reached double figures in scoring.
• Sune Abuke scored 13 points in the first half, the second time she reached double digits before intermission (12 at Kansas State).
• Nina Davis' 7 assists was a season high, and she passed her previous season high of four in the first half.
• Davis' 11 points helped her reach double figures in scoring for the 13th time this season out of 15 games.
• Imani Wright scored 11 points and reached double figures for the fifth time this season, and the first time since a 4OT loss to Kentucky Dec. 6 (11).
