Meet Central | Thursday Heat Sheets |

WACO, Texas - Coming off a 19-win home meet, the Baylor track and field team will travel to Austin, Texas, for three days of competition at the 86th-annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

"We are excited to go down to Austin," head coach Todd Harbour said. "The Texas Relays are always a big event with a lot of distractions. We have to be able to focus on the task at hand and perform like we are capable of."

In total BU has 40 competitors scheduled to take part in one of the country's biggest meets. Baylor's 13th-ranked women's team will have 21 participants competing in 16 events. For the men, 19 athletes will suit up in 12 events. Last week at the Baylor Quad Invitational, the Bears claimed 19 event titles, highlighted by the school-record jump of freshman Felix Obi in the triple jump.

The leap of 50-9.25 broke a record that had stood since 1984 and currently ranks sixth in the country.

Obi has one of 13 marks by Baylor that is ranked in the top-20 in the country.

That group is led by Raena Rhone, who has the second-fastest 400-meter time in the country at 53.42. On the men's side at that distance freshman Isaiah Duke is 20th with a time of 47.59.

The women also have two top-10 200-meter runners in Ashley Fields, who is third in 22.98, and Justise Dayries, who is seventh in 23.45.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Christina Holland is eighth in the country at 59.17, while on the men's side at the 100-meter hurdle distance Bryce Grace (14.05) is 16th.

The Bears have also had success in the throwing events. Skylar White is fourth in the discus at 177-0 and has the seventh-best shot put at 52-6.

The 182-1 discus throw of Desmine Hilliard is ranked 18th on the men's side. In the hammer throw, Erin Atkinson is sixth with a heave of 207-9.

In the 4x400-meter relays, Baylor's men are sitting in seventh as the quartet of Blake Heriot, Justin Allen, Drew Seale and Richard Gary have run an adjusted time of 3:09.01.

On the women's side, Idia Omogiate, Michelle Nwachukwu, Christina Holland and Raena Rhone have an adjusted time of 4:41.11 to be 10th in the country.

Baylor's Everett Walker will be competing in his first outdoor meet of the season, after getting injured just days before the NCAA Indoor Championships. The men will face 15 of the top 25 teams ranked in the DI preseason rankings, while 12 top-25 women's teams will be in action, including the No. 1 team on both sides (Texas A&M for the men and Kansas for the women).

Two Baylor student-athletes, Jenna Pfeiffer and Lauren Rover, will break off from the rest of the team to compete in the heptathlon competition at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State in San Marcos, Texas.
