THE RUNDOWN
LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) - Gary Franklin scored 22 points and No. 18 Baylor easily beat Division II Chaminade 93-77 on Monday night at the Maui Invitational.

The Bears overcame a 42-point effort from Chaminade's Christophe Varidel, who fell one point shy of the tournament record of 43 points, scored by Gonzaga's Adam Morrison in a triple-overtime game in 2005. His 10 3-pointers set their own record.

Four players besides Franklin scored in double-figures for the Bears (5-0), who put the game away decisively in the second half after going into halftime with a 3-point lead.

Cory Jefferson had 15 points and nine rebounds, including an alley-oop and layup early in the second half that game Baylor its first double-digit lead over Chaminade (2-1).

Baylor shot 50 percent for the game, including just under 61 percent in the first half.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Baylor extended its winning streak to 10 games - the nation's longest active streak.
• Nine different Bears played at least 10 minutes in the game for the fourth time in five games this season.
• Senior Gary Franklin had career highs with 22 points, 6 assists and 6 3FGs made (6-of-10) - his previous career high was 12 points on 4-of-4 3FGs at TCU on Jan. 26, 2013.
• Junior Kenny Chery had a career-high 8 assists to go with 12 points. It was his 3rd double-figure scoring game.
• Sophomore Rico Gathers had a career-high 14 rebounds in only 18 minutes - it was his 8th career double-figure rebounding game.
• Junior Royce O'Neale had a Baylor-career-high 12 points, along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
• Senior Cory Jefferson started his 42nd consecutive game.
• Jefferson (15 points) had his 34th career double-figure scoring game (BU is 27-7 in those games) and finished one rebound shy of a double-double.
• Senior Brady Heslip (14 points; 3-of-7 3FGs) has hit at least one 3-point field goal in 70 of 79 career games, including 52 games with 2+ 3FGs and 37 games with 3+ treys.
• Sophomore Isaiah Austin (3 blocks) had his 21st career game with 2+ blocks - Baylor is 17-4 in those games.
