The No. 4 Baylor equestrian team (6-1) will host its first meet of the spring season, taking on No. 9 New Mexico State (6-4) at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
"We are excited to get the second part of our season underway," head coach Ellen White said. "We have been working very hard and are ready to showcase in front of our home crowd."
The Bears are 5-0 at home this season, while the Hunter Seat team is undefeated on the year.
The two Western squads last faced off in the opening round of the 2011 NCEA Championships with a 6-2 BU win, while the Bears won the last full squad meet 9-6 on Sept. 25, 2010 in Waco.
The meet will begin with Fences, followed by Flat and Horsemanship and ending with Reining.
