IRVING, Texas - Samantha Schaefer picked up her second-straight Big 12 monthly award of the year, being named Big 12 Equitation over Fences Rider of the Month for November, the conference announced on Wednesday. This marks the second time in her career to win the Fences honor (April 2012) after earning Flat recognition in October.

Schaefer went a perfect 3-0 in Fences, including an MVP ride that scored an 88-86 win over Katherine Schmidt of South Carolina that led to an upset win over the No. 1 Gamecocks. The sophomore averaged an 86.3 in her three rides with an 88, 86 and 85, helping lead Baylor to a 3-0 record in the month of November with wins over Fresno State, South Carolina and TCU.

Schaefer and the Bears are in offseason until picking up spring action at New Mexico State on Feb. 2, 2013.
