Equestrian Falls 17-7 at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER - The No. 5 Baylor equestrian team (3-2) dropped its second-straight road match, falling 17-7 to No. 6 Oklahoma State (1-2) Saturday in Stillwater, Okla.

The Bears fell in three disciplines but managed a 3-3 tie in Fences. Samantha Schaefer earned the first of her two MVP's with a 90. Paige Parker (84) and Ashley Ann McGehee (80) also picked up scores for the Green and Gold.

The Cowgirls earned a 5-1 win in Flat, as Schaefer's 91 was the highest of the day and gave her the second MVP.

Falling 8-4 in Hunter Seat, the Bears dropped a 9-3 decision in Western.

Shelbey Jackson (69) and Katherine Berg (67.5) picked up Reining points, while Bryn Lindley (74) earned the lone score in Horsemanship.

Baylor will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 12 as it hosts Georgia at the Willis Family Equestrian Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
