Along with the Baylor men and women, Texas A&M will host North Texas, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, TCU, Texas Southern, Texas State, and UT-Arlington. The host Aggies enter the weekend ranked 12th on the men's side and 17th on the women's side.
Baylor's women, at No. 18 in the preseason rankings, are the only other ranked team in the field. With five returning All-Americans, the Lady Bear squad is led by seniors Jessica Ubanyionwu and Diamond Richardson, junior Skylar White and sophomore Tiffani McReynolds.
Ubanyionwu, who placed sixth at the NCAA Indoor Championships last season, earned all-Big 12 honors both indoors and outdoors in the triple jump. Richardson, a staple on the women's 4x400-meter relay team, boasts two career All-America honors, while White has two All-America honors in the shot put and discus.
McReynolds enters just her second season at Baylor, but with an NCAA runner-up finish and a Big 12 title in the indoor 60 hurdles as a rookie, already boasts veteran status. The Kansas City, Kan., native also added a Big 12 title outdoors, winning the 100 hurdles.
On the men's side, the Bears enter the season unranked, but have plenty of firepower returning with six All-Americans. Baylor is deep in the sprints and middle distance with six-time relay All-American Zwede Hewitt, as well as two-time sprint All-American Woodrow Randall leading the way.
Juniors Joe Barb and Drew Seale also return for Baylor after earning All-America honors in the 4x400-meter relay. Seale competed both indoors and outdoors at the NCAA meets, while Barb was a part of the outdoor All-America team. Baylor's final two returning All-Americans, James Gilreath and Whitney Prevost, will join the team outdoors after exhausting their indoor eligibility last season.
The meet is scheduled to begin with field events at 12:15 p.m. and running events at 2 p.m. at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M University.
