Quick Notes

  • Baylor trails the overall series with the Longhorns, 5-9-3, while Jobson is 0-1-2 against UT. The last time Bears defeated Texas was Sept. 26, 2005 (2-1 OT) in Waco. Baylor's last win at Texas was Oct. 10, 1997 (1-0 OT).
  • Texas will have had a 11 days off since its last game, defeating USC 2-1 in Los Angeles on Sept. 11.
  • Sunday will be the first time BU and Weber State have met on the soccer pitch. The Wildcats snapped a five-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over New Mexico State on Sept. 18.

Second Half Goals
Baylor has been a second half team this season, scoring 14 of its 21 goals in the second half.

Use Your Head
Nine of the Bears' 21 goals have come via header, with freshman Alexa Wilde leading the way with three.

Scoring Spread Out
New players seem to step up each game, as 11 different players have recorded a goal. In addition, 16 players have recorded at least a point for BU.

Seelhorst Leads League
Fifth-year senior, Courtney Seelhorst leads the Big 12 with five solo shutouts this season and is second in program history with 13 in her career.

Jobson Turns Defense Around
Since head coach Marci Jobson took over as head coach in 2008, the Bears have had their best defensive seasons in program history. After setting the school record for fewest goals allowed in 2008 (23), Baylor reset it in 2009 (18) and again in 2010 (16). BU has allowed just seven in 10 games so far in 2011.

First Time For Everything
Friday's game against Texas will mark the first time in the program's 16 year history that it has had a game broadcast on television.
