The Baylor soccer team (6-1-1) will hit the road to begin Big 12 play, taking on Texas A&M (4-4) at Ellis Field at 6:30 p.m. The Bears will return home for a match against Utah Valley (3-4) at Betty Lou Mays Field at 1:00 p.m.

The Bears and Aggies will be the first two conference foes to face off this season. It marks the first time Baylor has opened the Big 12 season at Texas A&M.

"We are heading to a tough place to play and in front of a hostile environment," head coach Marci Jobson said. "It will be a great test against a very good team and we will find out a lot about ourselves."

Baylor is coming off a pair of 2-0 wins against Texas State and North Texas, respectively. Dana Larsen leads the squad with four goals, while Natalie Huggins (three goals, two assists) and Hanna Gilmore (three goals and two assists) join Larsen for the team lead with eight points. Eight of the team's 18 goals have been scored by freshmen. Defensively, Courtney Seelhorst is atop the Big 12 with five solo shutouts.

The Aggies are coming off a 4-3 win against No. 1 North Carolina and have won three of their last four. A&M leads the conference in goals (24) and goals/game (3). Texas A&M leads the all-time series, 13-4-1. The last time BU got a result against the Aggies was Oct. 11, 2002, a 1-1 tie. The last win over A&M came on Oct. 1, 2000 a 2-1 win in Waco. The last victory in College Station (2-0) was Oct. 9, 1998.

Utah Valley will play Fordham in College Station prior to the Baylor/A&M match. The Wolverines enter the weekend having won their last two games and are averaging 1.14 goals/game. Sunday will mark the first meeting between the two schools.

Sunday will be Texas Farm Bureau Kid's Free Sunday with children 12 and under receiving free admission.
