SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Incoming freshman Natalie Huggins was named to the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Team of the Week after a two goal, two assist output that led her team, FC Dallas to a pair of wins.

"Playing on FC Dallas has been an incredible learning and growing experience for me," Huggins said. "Getting to contribute to the two big wins was a great and exciting way for me to help boost our team towards a successful rest of the season."

Huggins notched a goal and an assist in wins over the Tulsa Spirit and Arkansas Comets. The freshman-to-be will join the Bears this fall after an outstanding career at Ursuline Academy in Dallas where she helped guide her team to three-straight state titles.

"In the WPSL, I get to play with the best future, former and current college athletes," Huggins said. "Whether it's through simple play or verbal communication, getting to be in that environment with that kind of experience and competition in the college soccer world is invaluable for preparing me to play at the next level."
