Compelte 2010-11 USBWA All-District Teams
ST. LOUIS - Baylor and Big 12 all-time leading scorer LaceDarius Dunn was selected to the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District VII team, the organization announced Thursday. Dunn becomes the sixth USBWA All-District selection under head coach Scott Drew, joining Terrance Thomas (2004), Aaron Bruce (2005), Curtis Jerrells (2008, 2009) and Ekpe Udoh (2010).
Dunn, who became both the Baylor and Big 12 career scoring leader this season, was named to the NABC All-District 8 first team Wednesday. The first-team All-Big 12 performer concluded the regular season as the league leader in scoring (19.8) and 3-point field goals made (3.26/game), while ranking third in free throw percentage (82.7). The Monroe, La., native has already claimed the Baylor career records for scoring, 3-point field goals made, games played and wins. He needs two treys to become the Big 12's career 3-point leader.
In addition to the USBWA and NABC All-District awards, Dunn also collected first-team All-Big 12 honors from both the Associated Press and Dallas Morning News and All-Big 12 second-team accolades from Kansas City Star, Yahoo! Sports and Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Dunn was one of four Big 12 players from Texas named to the USBWA All-District VII team. A complete listing of the USBWA District VII awards follows.
