Larsen Earns Big 12 Award

IRVING, Texas -

For the second consecutive week, the Baylor soccer team earned a weekly conference award as Dana Larsen was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week the Big 12 Conference office announced Tuesday.

Larsen, who earned her first conference award, netted three goals and added an assist to lead Baylor to two wins over the weekend. The junior forward was involved in all three of the goals in a 3-1 BU victory, scoring two and assisting on a third. In a 5-0 win over Jackson State, she posted another goal, her ninth of the season, the most for a Baylor player since 2007. The nine goals is also the fourth best total in the Big 12.

In addition to her Big 12 award, Larsen was also named the TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Week.

The award was the second in-a-row for the Bears after Lisa Sliwinski won the same honor a week ago.

Baylor will host its final two regular season games, beginning with No. 2 Oklahoma State Friday at 7:00 p.m. and wrapping up Sunday with Oklahoma at 5:00 p.m.
