STILLWATER, Okla. - The Baylor equestrian team (4-0) dropped its first competition of the season, falling 13-10 to Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon in Stillwater, Okla.
"Our Hunter Seat team did well today and I am proud," head coach Ellen White said. "Give Oklahoma State credit because they defended their home turf."
The Bears picked up a 7-4 win in Hunter Seat that began with a 4-1 win in Fences. Lisa Goldman earned MVP honors, while Ashley Ann McGehee, Taylor Brown and Kara Fergusson each garnered points for BU.
The two teams tied Flat 3-3 with Brown, McGehee and Goldman each picking up their second points of the day.
The Cowgirls took Horsemanship 4-2, as Bryn Lindley and Parris Rice recorded points for Baylor. OSU followed with a 5-1 win in Reining with Olivia Rogers earning the lone BU point.
Baylor will next be in action on Nov. 12 at home in Hunter Seat only against SMU.
