2010 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic Bracket in PDF Format 
HONOLULU - The Baylor men's basketball team will face the San Diego Toreros on Wed., Dec. 22, in the opening round of the 2010 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, ESPN Regional Television announced Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT (12 p.m. HST) on ESPNU.
The second annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic will be held Dec. 22-25 at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. The eight-team tournament features 2010 NCAA runner-up Butler, Florida State, Mississippi State, San Diego, Utah, Washington State and tournament host Hawai`i.
First-round games on Wed., Dec. 22, will tip off with Mississippi State and Washington State at 2 p.m. CT. After the Baylor-USD game, Utah and Butler will square off at 9 p.m. CT. Hawai`i hosts Florida State in the nightcap at Midnight CT. The first four games will be televised live on ESPNU as part of the tournament's 10-game broadcast on the ESPN family of networks. The third-place and championship games will be televised Christmas Day on ESPN2.
Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracket-tournament format. The remaining two undefeated teams will face off in a championship game on Christmas Day.
The inaugural Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic in 2009 featured host Hawai`i (WAC), the College of Charleston (Southern), Northeastern (Colonial Athletic Association), SMU (Conference USA), Saint Mary's (West Coast), UNLV (Mountain West), USC (Pac-10) and Western Michigan (Mid-American). USC defeated then-No. 20 UNLV to win the inaugural event.
The 2010 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic marks the third consecutive season Baylor will participate in an ESPN-sponsored basketball tournament. The Bears finished 2-1 in both the 76 Classic (2008) in Anaheim, Calif., and the Old Spice Classic (2009) in Orlando, Fla.
