IRVING, Texas - For the second time this season and fifth time in her career, senior Lenka Broosova was named the Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by league officials.

The Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, native went 3-0 in singles and in doubles matches over the week, as No. 2 Baylor stayed unbeaten against No. 34 Texas A&M (6-1), Missouri (7-0) and No. 63 Colorado (7-0). The fifth-ranked senior won all her matches at No. 1 singles in straight sets, defeating TAMU's No. 65 Elze Potgieter, MU's Kaitlyn Ritche and CU's No. 101 Monica Milewski. In doubles, she teamed up with partner Csilla Borsanyi to win 8-5 against the Aggies' 29th-ranked duo. Broosova improved her singles win streak to four matches and her doubles win streak to five matches.

Broosova is 26-6 in singles play this season, included a 19-2 mark at the No. 1 position in dual matches. In doubles, she holds a 19-4 mark, going 18-3 at the No. 1 doubles position in dual matches. In conference play, Broosova has been perfect, with a 9-0 mark at No. 1 singles and a 9-0 mark at No. 1 doubles.

Broosova had won the award four times previously, once this season and three times in 2009. She was named the conference top player on March 16, March 23, and April 6 last season, and on March 31 this season. It is also the third of the season for a Baylor student-athlete, as Nina Secerbegovic received the honor on March 17.

The Lady Bears will be back on the court on Wednesday night against the University of Texas-Arlington at 5 p.m. Broosova and fellow senior Csilla Borsanyi will be honored between doubles and singles play.
