TULSA, Okla. - The Baylor men's tennis team posted a 6-1 win over Oklahoma State to raise its season record to 19-5 and a 3-2 mark in Big 12 action at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Bears and Cowboys were forced to move to indoor courts in Tulsa due to rain in the Stillwater area. The loss drops the Cowboys to 8-12 on the season and 0-6 in league play.

The match began with doubles play, where the Bears claimed wins at the No. 2 and 3 courts to win the first team point. Baylor gained wins from Attila Bucko and Jordan Rux at No. 2 and Maros Horny and Sergio Ramirez on court 3.

"It was a poor weather weekend in Oklahoma so we ended up going to Tulsa to play indoors against OSU. Our doubles teams did some good things, we've now won a few doubles points in a row which is what we want to be doing this time of the year," said head coach Matt Knoll.

The Bears produced wins in five of the six singles matches contested. Baylor's only loss came at the top spot when 16th-ranked Denes Lukacs lost at No. 1 to No. 14 Oleksandr Nedovyesov. The Bears gained wins from Rux, Bucko, Dominik Mueller, Julian Bley and Ramirez at courts 2-6, respectively.

"After we won the doubles point, Dominik's (Mueller) opponent retired from the match so we threw two points on the board in about 25 minutes. Jordan (Rux) struggled in his first set but fought through and pulled out the win, which I was pleased to see. Attila (Bucko) won the first set but lost the second and I was glad to see how he held it together and pulled out the win," said Knoll.

Baylor will now face No. 16 Texas Tech on Saturday, April 24 at 6 p.m. The Red Raiders enter the contest with a 20-3 season mark and sporting a 3-2 conference record. Baylor's three seniors, Attila Bucko, Denes Lukacs and Dominik Mueller, will be honored during the match.

Match Notes: Baylor improves to 331-81 all-time and 85-15 in Big 12 play under Matt Knoll. Over the last eight seasons Baylor is 55-4 in Big 12 competition and since the formation of the Big 12 the Bears are now 43-7 in Big 12 road play. The Bears are now 15-2 in the state of Oklahoma. Senior Dominik Mueller won the 91st dual match of his career and now only needs one win to tie Baylor great Benjamin Becker for the most dual match singles wins in program history.
