Championship Central | Complete Day 2 Results
WACO, Texas - Baylor's Western team completed the second day of the 2010 Varsity Equestrian National Championships as the ninth-seeded Bears fell to fourth-seeded TCU, 7-1.
"The girls went out there to win and they did not get beat because they were not trying, they were trying very hard. I was proud of the way they competed," said assistant Coach Trista Armstrong.
Baylor fell behind early, losing the Reigning competition 4-0. TCU continued to pull away in Horsemanship, as a victory by Allison Orosz (132.5-115.5) would be the only point the Bears earned.
In the individual Hunter Seat Horsemanship competition, Baylor's lone rider, Heather Healy, seeded No. 6, posted an upset victory over third-seeded Carly Anthony of Georgia, 163-160. Healy will now face Georgia's second-seeded Michelle Morris, a 175-165 winner over New Mexico State's Chelsae Keyes.
Competition will begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Heart O' Texas Fair Complex. Admission is free and open to the public.
