For every blocked shot the Baylor Lady Bears' registered during Big 12 play in 2010, Faulkenbery Construction, Inc., donated $25 in cash and supplies to Waco's Habitat for Humanity as part of its "Building a Better Community" promotion.

With 103 blocks in Big 12 action, Faulkenbery Construction, Inc. donated a total $2,575 in cash and supplies to the Waco Habitat.

"We plan to use this generous donation from Faulkenbery Construction for our "Ramps and Rails" program, started by the late Mel Rogers, which builds wheelchair ramps for low income families, "said Waco Habitat Executive Director John Alexander. "This promotion is an exciting way to support what we are doing at Habitat for Humanity and has generated a lot of buzz in the community."

Since the promotion began in January, Kelly Faulkenbery, President of Faulkenbery Construction, Inc., says that the response from the fans has been great.

"They like the fact that we not only support Baylor Athletics, but that we are using the success of the Lady Bear basketball team as a platform to make a difference in the community as well," said Faulkenbery. "We are thrilled to have been part of this promotion as it has been a great chance for us to give back to the community while at the same increasing exposure for our business."
