Baylor head soccer coach Marci Jobson announced the signing of eight student-athletes to National Letters of Intent Wednesday. The class includes six from the state of Texas and one apiece from Illinois and Kansas.

"We are excited about the 2010 class," Jobson said. "This class has proven themselves to be a special group of players at the youth level and we expect them to come in and make an impact right away. Athleticism, mentality and desire are three words to describe this group of young ladies."

The 2010 class is comprised of three all-state selections, two Olympic Development Program National Championship members, one ODP Regional team player and five players whose teams are ranked in the top-11 nationally. The eight student-athletes will look to continue on the success of the 2009 season, which saw the Bears wrap up the season with an 8-6-5 mark, recording the most wins by the program since an eight-win season in 2002. In addition, Baylor registered three conference wins, which was the most since 2002, and qualified to the Big 12 Tournament for the first time since 2006.

	Taylor Heatherly (D, Naperville Central HS, Naperville, Ill.) Three-time all-conference and all-sectional selection ... 2008 all-city and all-area selection ... 	Alex Klein (MF, Trinity HS, Bedford, Texas) Helped guide Trinity to district titles in 2007 and 2008 ... Three-time first-team all-district ... 	Michelle Kloss (GK, Cypress Creek HS, Houston, Texas) Has helped Cypress Creek to three-straight district titles ... Advanced to 2009 state quarterfinals ... 	Kat Ludlow (D, Colleyville Heritage HS, Colleyville, Texas) Has helped guide Colleyville Heritage to back-to-back district championships ... 	Georgia Mullins (D, Ronald Regan HS, San Antonio, Texas) Has helped guide Ronald Regan to three-straight district titles, including a regional title and state semifinal in 2009 ... 	Selby Polley (F, Wichita Heights HS, Wichita, Kan.) Helped guide Wichita Heights to 2008 and 2009 regional finals ... Two-time first-team all-state ...
