AMES, Iowa - Follow the Bears on Friday and Saturday with live updates from the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Ames, Iowa. Saturday's events will begin in the field at noon and on the track at 1:30 p.m. Results will be posted live as the events finish.
RESULTS FROM SATURDAY, FEB. 27

| 1:50 p.m. | (W) 60 meters Finals | Junior All-American Tiffany Townsend battled a stacked field to a fifth-place finish with a time of 7.40. |
| Noon | (W) Shot Put Finals | Freshman Skylar White continued her record-breaking season, shattering her own BU shot put record for the fourth time in 2010. White added nearly two feet with a throw of 51-06 to finish third in the event. |
| Noon | (W) Triple Jump Finals | Sophomore Jessica Ubanyionwu recorded the second-best performance of her career with a leap of 42-04 to place fifth. Ubanyionwu missed out on third place by 1/4 of an inch. |
| 2:00 p.m. | (M) 60 meters Finals | The duo of Trey Harts and Whitney Prevost raced to fourth and fifth-place finishes in the finals. Harts nipped Prevost with a time of 6.79 to 6.81. |
| 2:40 p.m. | (M) 600 yards Finals | Sophomore Zwede Hewitt posted a time of 1:10.15 to place fourth in the event. The time was the second-fastest of Hewitt's career. |
| Noon | (M) High Jump Finals | Kyle Cash cleared a season-best 6-08.75, but needed one less miss or one more clearance to leap into the top eight, finishing 12th. |
| 3:00 p.m. | (W) 400 Meters Finals | Sophomore Diamond Richardson took third in her heat and fifth overall with a time of 54.22. |
| 3:10 p.m. | (M) 400 Meters Finals | Marcus Boyd and Michael Liggins were the top two in the first heat, and took third and fifth overall. Boyd was third with a season-best time of 46.80, the 14th fastest time in the NCAA this season. Liggins was fifth overall with a career-best time of 47.06. |
| 3:20 p.m. | (W) 1,000 Meters Finals | Leigh Ann Ganzar battled in the middle of the pack to finish sixth overall with a time of 2:52.95. She entered as the eighth qualifier, moving up two spots in the finals. |
| 3:30 p.m. | (M) 1,000 Meters Finals | Senior All-American Chris Gowell dueled Texas' Patrick Todd to the line, but came in second in a bid for his first individual Big 12 title. Gowell finished with a time of 2:27.89. |
| 3:40 p.m. | (W) 800 Meters Finals | Freshman Stephanie Morgan put together a solid all-around race to place fifth with a time of 2:10.24. |
| 3:50 p.m. | (M) 800 Meters Finals | The future is bright for the mid-distance crew. Sophomore James Gilreath grabbed the bull by the horns, pushing a big lead by himself to win with a career-best time of 1:49.21, the fourth-fastest runner ever at BU. Freshman Gavyn Nero battled the pack behind Gilreath, and flew by Missouri's Blake Irwin at the finish to claim second place in a provisional qualifying and career-best time of 1:50.17. |
| 4:00 p.m. | (M) 200 Meters Finals | Defending NCAA Indoor champion Trey Harts placed fourth in the race with a time of 21.12. Courtney Thomas was next in line with a fifth-place finish in a time of 21.39. |
| 4:20 p.m. | (W) 3,000 Meters Finals | Senior All-American Erin Bedell ran her best time of the season, finishing fourth, with a clocking of 9:26.98. Cate Westenhover was 11th at 9:38.95, Kristen Hanselka was 31st at 10:01.63, and Katie Barry was 36th at 10:06.90. |
| 4:45 p.m. | (M) 3,000 Meters Finals | Junior Robbie Knorr placed in his second distance race of the weekend with an eighth-place finish in a time of 8:14.15. Ben Haby was 14th overall with a time of 8:20.86. |
| 5:10 p.m. | (W) 4x400-meter Relay Finals | The Baylor women's fifth-place finishing team consisted of Brittany Bruce, Diamond Richardson, Christina Holland and Tiana Hood. |
| 5:25 p.m. | (M) 4x400-meter Relay Finals | The Baylor men's streak of 12 consecutive Big 12 titles fell with a second-place finish in what was a two-horse race. The squad of Michael Liggins, Trey Harts, Zwede Hewitt, and Marcus Boyd battled Texas A&M down to the wire, but got nipped with a time of 3:05.37 to TAMU's 3:04.99. |

| 3:30 p.m. | (M) Mile Run Prelims | Senior Ben Haby suffered the same fate as Westenhover, finishing one spot out of qualifying for tomorrow's mile final. Haby knocked six seconds off his career best with a time of 4:07.32 to place ninth overall. Sophomore Zac Flowers was 14th overall with a time of 4:17.04. |
| 3:50 p.m. | (W) 60m Hurdles Prelims | Freshman Christina Holland was fifth in her heat and 10th overall with a time of 8.74, to stand just outside of the qualifying eight for tomorrow's final. |
| 4:10 p.m. | (W) 60 meters Prelims | Junior Tiffany Townsend, a 10-time All-American at Baylor, became the Bears' first qualifier of the day, finishing sixth overall in the prelims with a time of 7.45. Tiana Hood was 14th at 7.75 and Brittany Carr was 15th at 7.77. |
| 4:20 p.m. | (M) 60 meters Prelims | Senior All-American Trey Harts cruised to a win in his heat to automatically qualify for the final with a time of 6.79. Sophomore Whitney Prevost also qualified, finishing seventh overall with a time of 6.82. Courtney Thomas was 11th at 6.86 and Marcus Thompson was 18th at 7.00. |
| 4:30 p.m. | (W) 600 yards Prelims | The freshmen duo of Lizzy Whitney and Simone Brinkley placed 18th and 20th overall, missing the top eight needed for qualifying. Whitney crossed in a time of 1:27.81, while Brinkley finished in 1:28.21. |
| 4:50 p.m. | (M) 600 yards Prelims | Zwede Hewitt out-leaned OU's Jarell Warren to win the first heat with a time of 1:10.46 and earn a spot in tomorrow's finals. Freshman Drew Seale was 17th overall with a time of 1:11.88. |
| 5:10 p.m. | (W) 400 meters Prelims | Diamond Richardson solidified her spot in the finals, winning the second heat with a time of 55.03. Freshman Midori Starks was 13th overall with a time of 56.98, while Brittany Bruce was 14th at 58.25. |
| 5:30 p.m. | (M) 400 meters Prelims | Marcus Boyd won his heat with a time of 47.23 and Michael Liggins was second in his heat with at time of 47.21 to each earn a spot in the finals. Liggins was third overall and Boyd was fourth. J.T. Scheuerman was 14th (48.12), Thaddeus Gordon was 15th (48.29) and Chance Casey was 19th (49.33). |

Finishing just out of the mix for the finals was senior Nichole Jones, who was the three-time defending Big 12 champion in the event. |
| 6:10 p.m. | (M) 1,000 meters Prelims | Senior All-American Chris Gowell blew away the field in his heat with the second fastest overall time of 2:25.91. Logan Roberts was 17th overall with a time of 2:32.00. |
| 4:00 p.m. | (W) Long Jump Finals | DeAna Carson placed 15th overall with a leap of 18-07.75, while teammate Dess Meek was 17th overall with a best of 17-11. |
| 6:30 p.m. | (W) 800 meters Prelims | Freshman Stephanie Morgan continues her breakout rookie season with a time of 2:09.53 to advance to the finals. Kathryn Benvegnu was 11th overall at 2:13.44, Lauren Simpson was 18th at 2:18.75, Loren Hodges was 19th at 2:18.81, and Ivorie Walker was 20th at 2:28.26. |
| 6:50 p.m. | (M) 800 meters Prelims | James Gilreath ran his personal best and an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:50.26 and freshman Gavyn Nero placed third in his heat with a personal best of 1:51.04 to each qualify for tomorrow's finals. DJ Dixon was 20th overall with a time of 1:55.56. |
| 7:10 p.m. | (W) 200 meters Prelims | Tiffany Townsend earned her second berth in the finals of the day, placing seventh overall with a time of 23.83. Tiana Hood was 16th overall at 25.09, while Brittany Carr was 17th overall at 25.23. |
| 7:30 p.m. | (M) 200 meters Prelims | Trey Harts added his second final qualifier of the day, winning his heat with a time of 21.01. Courtney Thomas also qualified for the final with a sixth-place time of 21.27. Whitney Prevost was just on the outside with a time of 21.30 in ninth and Marcus Thompson was 12th at 22.02. |
| 8:15 p.m. | (M) 5,000 meters Prelims | Robbie Knorr scored the Baylor men's first points of the day with a seventh-place finish with a time of 14:17.90. Brandon Reed was 15th at 14:36.79. |
| 8:40 p.m. | (W) Distance Medley Relay | Cate Westenhover (1,200m), Christina Holland (400m), Nichole Jones (800m) and Erin Bedell (1,600m) combined to take the DMR women's team to a third-place finish in a time of 11:23.90. The time was also an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. |
