The Baylor soccer team (9-5-1, 2-4) will step out of conference play for the final time, hosting Seattle (9-4) on Friday at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Kansas (5-9, 1-5) for a Sunday match at 1:00 p.m.

"It's nice to get back home for a game because we have been playing very well here," head coach Marci Jobson said. "Both Seattle and Kansas are talented squads, and we will need to bring our best."

The Bears, who are 8-0-1 at Betty Lou Mays Field this season, are tied for the lead the conference in goals (37) and shutouts (9). Baylor has outscored their opponents 37-12 so far and are led by a pair of sophomores, Lisa Sliwinski (7 goals, 5 assists) and Hanna Gilmore (5 goals, 3 assists) who have both posted career-high points totals so far. Defensively, junior goalkeeper Courtney Seelhorst leads the way with a 0.84 goals against average.

The Redhawks enjoyed a 12-day break from play, but posted back-to-back victories to extend their win streak to five. They have three different players leading the team with four goals and are 3-2 on the road this season. This game will mark the first ever meeting between the schools

The Jayhawks went 0-2 at home last weekend against Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. KU has dropped five of its last six games and are 3-4 at home this season. The series is tied 6-6-2 after Baylor defeated Kansas 2-1 in double overtime in its last meeting on Oct. 18, 2009.

The Bears currently sit in eighth place in the conference standings, while the Jayhawks are in a tie for 10th.

Friday will be Family Fun Night, as fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks for $20.
