Seven Baylor women's track and field team members were recently named to the USTFCCCA 2009 Division I All-Academic team. A record total of 530 student-athletes representing 146 Division I institutions were named to the elite team.
Baylor student-athletes named to the team were*:
Erin Bedell - Senior
Danielle Bradley - Senior
Brittany Bruce - Junior
Jodi Hulett - Graduated May 2009
Samantha Patty - Sophomore
Diamond Richardson - Sophomore
Jessica Ubanyionwu - Sophomore
The Big 12 Conference landed 50 selections on the team which ranked second among all conferences.
The USTFCCCA honors Division I individuals for their academic and athletic achievements during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor regional or national qualifying standard in their respective event.
