ST. LOUIS - Baylor senior guard Curtis Jerrells was selected to the All-District VII team as announced by the United States Basketball Writers Association announced Tuesday.
It is the second-straight All-District selection by the USBWA for Jerrells. Last season, Jerrells was a first team pick during a stellar junior campaign. He is the third Baylor player to earn back-to-back USBWA All-District honors, joining Darryl Middleton (1987-88) and Lawrence Roberts (2002-03).
Jerrells, a third-team All-Big 12 selection, ranks fourth all-time in school history with 1,641 points. He leads the Bears in scoring (16.3 points) and assists (4.83) and is on pace to become the first player in program history to lead in the team in scoring for four-straight seasons.
Earlier this month, he was chosen to the All-District 8 first team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
