WACO, Texas - In addition to the previously announced nationally televised Baylor women's basketball games, two more telecasts have been added to the Lady Bears' 2009-10 schedule. All told, 10 regular-season Lady Bear games will be televised.
FOX Sports Southwest (FSSW) will televise the Dec. 5 Baylor-Louisiana Tech contest beginning at 5 p.m. That game features numerous Lady Bear-Lady Techster ties. Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey played four years at Louisiana Tech and coached there for 15 seasons prior to coming to Baylor. BU assistant Leon Barmore was the Lady Techster's head coach for 20 seasons, and current Louisiana Tech head coach Teresa Weatherspoon played for both Barmore and Mulkey there.
Baylor's game against Boston College in the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 13 will be broadcast by ESPNU. The game will begin at 12 p.m. (Central).
In addition, some minor time adjustments have been made. The Lady Bears' game against Gonzaga in the Lady Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic (Dec. 19) will begin at 10:45 p.m. (Central) and the Dec. 20 contest versus Arizona State will begin at 8:30 p.m. (Central).
