For the first time in school history, Baylor will have three non-conference football games televised in the same season with today's announcement that Fox Sports Net will broadcast the Bears' Sept. 13 home game against Washington State with kickoff set for 11:30 a.m. (Central). Baylor's games against Wake Forest (Aug. 28) and at Connecticut (Sept. 19) were previously selected for national television broadcasts.
"The Big 12 television partners are excited about a new era in Baylor football," said Baylor Director of Athletics Ian McCaw. "Having three non-conference games televised offers tremendous exposure for Coach (Art) Briles' program and we are thrilled with that opportunity. We appreciate our television partners and the Big 12 Conference staff working together to make this happen for our program."
Fox Sports Net will also televise Baylor's season-opener Aug. 28 against Wake Forest at 7 p.m. and ESPN 2 will air the Bears' Sept. 19 game at Connecticut with a 7 p.m. (Central) kick.
Kickoff time for Baylor's fourth non-league game, against Northwestern State on Sept. 6, is set for 6 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium. Start times for Baylor's 2008 Big 12 schedule will be announced at a later date. The Big 12 portion of the schedule will be subject to a 12-day advance notice by the league television partners, as part of the conference television agreement with ABC, FSN, ESPN and Versus.
Season tickets for the Bears' seven-game home slate are priced at $195.00 in the non-premium areas and $265.00 in the premium seat sections. Tickets in the premium seating area require a Bear Foundation donation in addition to the ticket price.
In addition, Baylor also offers special Super Fan and Family 4 Pack ticket packages. The Super Fan tickets are priced at $145.00 each for seats in sections A and K in the West Stadium, while the Family 4 Pack is priced at $360.00 for four tickets in the North End Zone. Both plans are good for all seven home games.
A special Young Alumni ticket price of $145.00 for individuals who have graduated from Baylor within the last five years is also available in 2008.
