WACO, Texas - The Baylor Lady Bear basketball program signed Morghan Medlock, a 6-1 forward/post, to a Letter of Athletic Aid head coach Kim Mulkey announced on Wednesday. Medlock, a transfer from the University of Southern California, intends to begin classes at Baylor in June.

With her enrollment, Medlock, a Pasadena, Calif., native, will become the program's second McDonald's All-American, an honor she earned in 2006. Current Lady Bear post Danielle Wilson was also honored that same year.

During her senior season at Narbonne High School, Medlock averaged 22 points, 15.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists a game, leading the school to its second straight Los Angeles City Section title. In addition to attaining McDonald's All-American status, Medlock was a Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-American. In addition, she earned player of the year honors from several Los Angeles newspapers as both a junior and senior and competed in the Nike All-America Camp in 2003 and 2004.

Medlock spent two seasons at USC where she averaged 6.5 points and 4.8 rebounds a contest while playing 19.9 minutes a game.

As a sophomore, Medlock started in 13 and played in 27 of the Trojans' 30 games, missing three due to injury. She ranked second on the team in rebounding and blocked shots and led the team in scoring on three occasions and in rebounding nine times. She registered three double-doubles on the season including a career-high 18 points and 13 rebounds against Arizona. For the 2007-08 season, Medlock averaged 6.6 points and 5.5 rebounds a contest.

Medlock, as a true freshman at USC, was the only rookie to appear in every game for the Trojans and started in seven. She averaged 6.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest and was named Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention.

Medlock will be one of seven newcomers to the Lady Bear program. She joins Whitney Zachariason a transfer from the University of Arkansas and signees Brianna Brown, Terran Condrey, Ashley Field, Lindsay Palmer and Cherrish Wallace.
