FSN Southwest will telecast a 30-minute special highlighting Baylor's spring football game and previewing the 2008 Bears season on Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. as part of the network's annual Spring Football Tour. It's one of several episodes in the series that recaps spring football at Big 12 Conference schools and defending national champion LSU.
The programs include behind-the-scenes, all-access highlights from the school's spring game, in-depth analysis by the coaching staff, and feature stories on players who are expected to make an impact in 2008. In the Baylor episode, new head coach Art Briles discusses his latest rebuilding challenge. The program also breaks down the Bears' starting quarterback competition between freshman Robert Griffin from Copperas Cove High School, senior transfer Kirby Freeman from Miami, and returning junior Blake Szymanski; and includes a segment on players who have moved from offense to defense to help the team improve.
Spring Football Tour shows will run several times throughout the spring and summer on FSN Southwest, leading to the start of football practice (see schedule below for May air dates for Baylor episode). They also will be carried on Fox College Sports. Big 12 North Division shows will begin running on FSN Southwest in June.
FSN Southwest is available to cable and satellite TV customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and parts of New Mexico. Satellite TV viewers living outside of the Southwest region can watch FSN Southwest on DirecTV Ch. 643 and Dish Network Ch. 416.
