Timeout With
Josh CampSenior - Men's Track and Field
What is your role as a leader on the team this year?
I just have to try and encourage people who are having trouble in whatever event they are. I've got to lead in practice, work hard and let them work hard.
What do you think your biggest individual challenge will be this season?
Getting my head right; most of the time when I struggle when I jump it's because I'm thinking about too much stuff. Last year I struggled pretty hard. This year I really want to go out and have a good year.
What do you think your teams' biggest challenge is going to be this year?
This year it's going to be staying healthy.
What has your team been doing to train, anything different or new?
We've been doing a lot more in the weight room, because a lot of people have trouble with their hamstrings. We've been focusing on working on hamstrings in the weight room to get them strong. We're also getting in the training room to get things taken care of early, before they become a problem.
What do you hope to do after college?
I plan on going to grad school, probably at Texas A&M, and then going to work somewhere.
